Heh - I'm old-fashioned. Thinking of picking up a 1911 .45, probably something like a Springfield Armory Loaded model. And then hoping to get a 1911 model chambered for .22 Long Rifle, as .45 ACP ammo is freakin' expensive. Even the cheaper ammo in .45 runs about $50-60 per 100 rounds, while .22 LR you can find for $80 per 2000 rounds.

And even if you go nuts and spend hours at the range, 2000 rounds is a lot of bang bang. Or plink plink, as the case may be.
