Seattle rocks!
Jul. 1st, 2010 01:16 amBy far, the best AHLA meeting ever! Better than the San Francisco meeting, even.
Made it through the Seattle public transit system, successfully visited two of the five yarn stores, had way too much fun (and spent too much money) on fiber, yarn, and books on weaving and spinning. Did a couple of runs through the Pike Place Market, ate great food, found wonderful Pear and Black Currant cider - good times.
Then, while trying to figure out a way to make it to the traveling Cirque du Soleil show, Kooza (which I hadn't planned for, as I hadn't researched to find that they were in Seattle), ran into the fabulous
dragojustine , who offered to give me a ride to the show. Whereupon I offered to buy her a ticket to the show. Happy times all round! And it was fabulous - clowns, contortionists, crazy people on tightropes, REALLY crazy people on the giant hamster wheel o' DOOM, beautiful women with glittery hula-hoops. . . I love Cirque. Thanks again, Justine!
I still hate my job, and this is likely to be my last AHLA meeting, but at least it went out with a bang.
