I can haz spinning wheel!

Just spun up my first .25 ounce of wool on my Majacraft Rose.  Been spindling for a couple of months now, and I still love it, but the wheel is sooooooo cool.  No stopping to wind on every few seconds - just draft and draft and draft and draft.  

Especially nice because I've been spinning some black wool pencil roving, that came to me in random lengths, most of them under a foot long.  Great practice making joins, but otherwise a PITA.  This is so much easier.

Probably not pictures of this one - I'm using an undyed, fairly coarse wool roving I picked up last year at Sheep and Wool for practicing. Just getting used to all the mechanics. I'll probably post pictures once I get to the point I'm using a roving I want to keep for a project.

Do need to get a picture of the wheel for icons, though!
